Kibale National Park

Uganda

Overview

Kibale National Park, often referred to as the “Primate Capital of the World,” is one of Uganda’s most enchanting and biodiverse destinations. Covering 795 square kilometres, it is home to lush tropical rainforests, swamps, and grasslands. The park boasts the highest density and variety of primates in Africa — including over 1,500 chimpanzees — making it the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. With its vibrant birdlife, butterflies, and breathtaking forest scenery, Kibale is a haven for nature lovers.
