Lake Nakuru is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is famous for its large populations of flamingos and pelicans that gather along the shores of the soda lake. The park is one of the best places in Kenya to spot the endangered black and white rhinos and offers beautiful landscapes, including acacia forests and waterfalls.
Lake Nakuru is a saline lake that varies in size depending on rainfall. It’s never frozen and has a maximum depth of 6 feet (1.8 m). The park also includes Menengai crater, one of the world’s largest volcanic craters, and Africa’s largest euphorbia forest.
