Itinerary

    01

    Arrival in Kigali

    Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will brief you about your upcoming safari before introducing you to your professional driver guide.

    You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kigali where you can relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the city or simply unwind at your hotel as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

    02

    Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    After breakfast, you will begin the day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, an important historical site that honors the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and provides insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience.

    Later you will proceed toward the Uganda border and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey offers spectacular scenery including terraced hillsides, rural villages, and lush landscapes.

    Upon arrival at your lodge, you will check in and enjoy dinner while preparing for the exciting gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

    03

    Gorilla Trekking Experience and Cultural Tour

    After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before starting your gorilla trekking adventure.

    You will then enter the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. Trekking can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day depending on the location of the gorillas. Once located, you will spend a magical hour observing these incredible primates as they interact, feed, and move through the forest.

    After the trekking experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer back to Rwanda.

    04

    Golden Monkey Trekking and Departure

    After breakfast, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. These playful and energetic primates inhabit the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains and provide a fascinating wildlife encounter.

    Following the trek, you will return for lunch before transferring back to Kigali. You will then be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your onward flight or at your preferred hotel.
